Ossiano – Dine surrounded by marine animals

The first thing that will ‘wow’ you when entering the restaurant is the “Ambassador Lagoon”, a massive aquarium covering one full side of the restaurant top to bottom and home to over 65,000 marine animals. The dining experience that awaits you is a culinary journey inspired by the chef Grégoire Berger’s life and memories from all around the world. You can choose from the à la carte menu or from the three set menu options – our recommendation is to go for the 11-course set menu called “the Culinary Journey”. This menu features lots of dishes inspired by the Chef’s childhood travels and memories. Every dining experience is accompanied by a piano player, romantic soft lights, and 5-star service.

Extra tip: this is highly recommended for seafood lovers, but there are some meat and vegetarian options too.

Platinum Desert Safari Dinner – An exclusive dining experience in a peaceful desert oasis

If you are looking for a place to impress your other half, then this is the way to go. The dinner is part of a 7 hours experience where you will get to adventure on a luxurious Range Rover around the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve and watch an exclusive falcon show at sunset time. You will then travel to the beautiful desert oasis on a gentle camel ride surrounded by pristine dunes and the pink shades of the sun setting. Your 6-course fine dining meal is cooked fresh by the on-site Chef and served in a private cabana at candle light. You will be surprised by the high-quality and innovativeness of the dishes and the attention to detail and romantic set up in the desert. The experience ends with a unique fire show under the stars.

Extra tip: the desert is always a few degrees cooler than the city so this is a perfect romantic city escape during summertime too.

Toro Toro – Unique Latino vibes with eccentric décor

Located close to the Dubai Marina, Toro Toro brings some great South American vibes to the city. The décor resembles the typical New York lofty style with leather furniture, touches of foliage, tribal Latin patterns, and scenic indoor staircases. When it comes to the food, small sharing plates are the way to go. The long list of hot and cold appetisers, with a good choice of ceviche plates, are enough to keep you busy for a while. The combination of flavours is quite unique. The mains are good too, mostly grilled meat and churrasco dishes, but in our opinion, the appetisers are so much better value for money! Try their colourful cocktails too – definitely recommended!

Extra tip: this is the perfect place to go with family or with a group of friends for a fun evening out.

Thiptara – Genuine Thai flavours with spectacular fountain views

Thiptara means “magic by the water” and it is definitely one of the best restaurants to admire the scenic Downtown fountain show from. Looking right over Burj Lake, Thiptara is an intimate place that serves authentic Thai food dishes in a very elegant setting. The focus is on the typical seafood dishes from Bangkok but the menu includes lots of other delicious options such as wagyu beef, chicken and duck dishes. Tables are quite spaced apart and the perfect set up for a special occasion

Extra tip: make your booking in advance to make sure to get one of the few tables available on the outdoor terraces.

Al Grissino – City lights culinary experience

When thinking fine dining, an Italian option is a must. Grissino’s stunning views from the 16th floor of the Emirates Financial Towers in DIFC will surprise you from the very first moment. The big windows looking straight over the Downtown skyline, beautifully lit up at night time, will be the spectacular view for the fine dining dinner. Here you can expect high end signature Italian dishes such as cold marinated seafood dishes, Spaghetti all’astice (lobster spaghetti), Branzino in crosta di patate (potato crusted seabass) and some meat-based dishes such as home-made Tagliatelle alla Bolognese Wagyu and Cotoletta di vitello alla Lombarda (pan fried veal cutlet flavoured with rosemary, butter and sage).

Extra tip: before heading for dinner, watch the sunset from the Tube Bar next door – Happy Hour is on from 4PM to 8PM.

Asia Asia – where Far East meets the Middle East

Asia Asia is located in Pier 7, a popular building in Dubai Marina with lots of dining options. When it comes to fine dining though, our preferred choice is definitely Asia Asia. As soon as you get out of the lift, you are transported to an Asian destination: the softly lighted corridor with several spiritual statues lead you to a beautiful modern dining room with décor from all over Asia. The menu reflects the identity of the place: here you will be able to taste Pan-Asian specialties like sushi, curries and a lot more. The best part is the beautiful terrace with stunning views over the Marina. You can’t miss it!

Extra tip: pop in on a Thursday night for some live sax performance!

Pierchic - Romantic views over the Arabian Gulf

Located right at the end of the pier at the Al Qasr Hotel, Pierchic offers a stunning ‘over-the-water’ dining experience. The beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows allow lots of natural light in the dining room during daytime and stunning sunset views in the evenings. The menu offers Mediterranean seafood cooked dishes and delicious “seafood towers” served raw. If you are a seafood lover, this will be a real paradise!

Extra tip: Pierchic is located right in front of Burj Al Arab, the only 7-star Hotel in the world which is a good spot to make a reservation at for an after-dinner drink to complete your evening!

Morimoto – Enchanting views over Downtown Dubai

If you are a Japanese food lover, look no further. The Morimoto menu offers lots of different Japanese dishes with a contemporary western twist. They have a great variety of sushi and sashimi platters along with cooked dishes and vegetarian options. Another highlight of the location is the beautiful terrace area with stunning views over Downtown Dubai and Burj Khalifa. We definitely recommend that you ask for an outdoor table to enjoy the dining experience at its best.

Extra tip: head there at sunset time for a drink on the panoramic terrace before your dinner

Everything from the Creative Soups menu section, with quirky names such as “Langoustine flirting with a crystalised rose”, to the signature and traditional dishes like the Veal Tenderloin and Bone Marrow Crust will blow your mind! LIMA – Authentic Peruvian flavours in a stylish setting

There aren’t many places in Dubai which serve amazing Peruvian food like LIMA. Situated in the heart of City Walk, LIMA Dubai is the sister restaurant of LIMA London, awarded a Michelin star. The stylish interiors and materials are all sourced from Peru. The impressive modern staircase will lead you to the bar for a traditional Pisco Sour. The cocktails are so eye-catching and often decorated with tropical fruits and flowers. The contemporary cuisine they offer will impress you from start. The dishes are a mix of beautiful colours and flavours, a culinary adventure you should definitely try.

Extra tip: their Lamb Seco and Panko Prawns are to die for!
